Telespace Networks manufactures multiple product lines of premium quality fiber optic patch cords suitable for Sercos networking and other industrial networking applications. The product lines below are made with OFS fiber cable 200/230 µm glass-core fiber and terminated with SMA 905 fiber optic connectors. SMA connections are OFS proprietary crimp and cleave, which eliminates the fiber core 'pistoning' problem common with this type of fiber and other connectors. For maximum retention strength, epoxy is used to bond the core/cladding to the stainless steel ferrule, and adhesive-lined heat shrink to bond jacketed Kevlar® strength members to the connector ferrule body.
